VetCRYL sutures are manufactured from a poly(glycolide-co-L-lactide) polymer [Glacomer 91] and coated with poly(glycolide-co-L-lactide) [Glacomer 37], which are biodegradable and bioabsorbable. It’s a braided or twisted structure that provides good handling characteristics and knot security making them a popular choice among surgeons.
